In an industry where microscopic details can decide disputes worth millions of kronor, there is no room for guesswork or half-measures. When I step on board, I do so not just as an inspector , but as a trained mechanical engineer and forensic investigator .

My job is to see through the surface layer and deliver a technical truth that is one hundred percent unassailable. A report from me is never just an opinion – it is a definitive receipt that is respected unconditionally by banks , insurance companies and courts .

 

From the field to the gavel (BBR)

 

With over four decades in the marine industry, I have helped define how ship inspections and marine services should be performed. Birkes Båtjour made Swedish industry history by becoming the very first mobile operator to offer fully authorized service directly in the field.

Today I lead the Swedish inspection corps forward in my role as Chairman of the Board of BBR (The National Association of Boat Inspectors). It is a position of trust that requires absolute integrity and the deepest expertise in the industry.

 

Machinery Expertise & Factory Authorizations

 

My understanding of marine propulsion, thermodynamics and mechanical fatigue is based on a solid foundation. I have held official factory authorizations from: Mercury , Mariner , Mercruiser , Yanmar, Honda , Suzuki , Evinrude and Johnson . In addition, I possess very specific and in-depth technical expertise regarding Volvo Penta and Yamaha .

As a certified PADI Open Water Instructor, I also possess a profound understanding of hydrodynamics and the enormous forces that the harsh underwater environment subjects hulls and drivelines to. This holistic knowledge is applied as an integral part of our forensic assessment of the vessel.
